A Question From the Forum
I keep hearing “he’ll regret it, you’ll see. He’ll realize the mistake he made.”
I honestly don’t think he will.
He cheated.
He wanted out.
He filed.
Why would he regret it?
I will not lie, it would make me feel fantastic if he confesses to making the mistake of leaving me or if he regrets his decision but what are the odds?
I mean seriously, if you are the one to find someone else, file and want out — would you really regret it?
Thoughts?

“I am in the process of watching my marriage of 17 years fall apart and I did choose to cheat at one point. I do regret cheating and I think that it was the beginning of the end even if it happened 4 years ago. I stopped thinking of marriage as a commitment and started examining it as what it did or didn’t do for ME which moved me away from focusing on what my wife needed. Cheating is honestly a symptom of a bigger problem, I should have confronted my wife with my unhappiness and sought resolution. If a friend asked me if it was worth it, the answer would be no.” forum member thedude
